My Busy & Productive Week!

What a week it has been! I have so many posts I want to share and just haven't had the time to sit down and write and upload pictures!

*In the past week my husband hung our new curtains in our living room which I have been eyeing in the Ballard Designs catalog for months! I LOVE them! Picture soon :)

*I participated in my first big children's consignment sale event which was a ton of work but ended up being worth it in the end. I have some great tips for anyone interested in doing a consignment sale like this to help purge their children's closets and make some extra cash!!

*I also got started on my Spring garden with several things planted :) So excited!!

*I had my 32 week Dr appt which went well!

*Finished my 8 week Beth Moore study at church on the Book of James. Still have some homework left to do!

*And, last but not least, I had a fabulous baby shower yesterday hosted by my awesome sister!! She did such a great job and I can't wait to share! I'm so thankful for my family and dear friends.

I hope this coming week slows down a little for me so I can sit down and upload pictures and share what's been going on around here :) But somehow I have a feeling the weeks are only going to get busier the closer it gets to baby delivery time!

I'm back, and hopefully to STAY!!

After a long blogging hiatus, I'm back!! I hadn't planned on being away for so long, but life just got too busy. We moved into our new home last July and with a new house and 2 kiddos to take care of, blogging just took a back seat. I've been wanting to sit down and write for months now and with my Virgo personality, if I couldn't sit down and write something and make it perfect, then I better just not write at all. I'm working on that though :) Hoping my new laptop will come in handy. On my ancient computer it took forever to write one post and I was confined to my desktop computer. Seriously y'all, my computer is 10 yrs old!!! Now I have finally caught up with technology!!

Life has been good to us in our household and I'm hoping to share some of our adventures, and, lets be real here, misadventures! I love reading other blogs and taking a peek into others' lives. Whether it's through raising kids, homemaking, decorating, or growing in my relationship with God, I can't wait to read your stories and share mine as well.

Happy Belated Mother's Day!

Hope all you mommas had a Happy Mother's Day!!! Mine was great-Kevin brought me Starbucks first thing in the morning along with some breakfast tacos! Mmmm. Then I went to lunch with my favorite people at Cotton Patch Cafe. We stopped on the way out for the girls to ride the horse :)

Then daddy took the girls home for nap & "rest time". Keira, now that she is almost 4, is giving up naps these days. We have tried to convince her to at least have rest time where she reads quietly in her room so mom & dad can get a break now & then!!

While they had naps, I went shopping, alone!!! How rarely that happens with 2 little ones. I got some of my favorite Bath & Body candles that were on sale, window shopped at Ann Taylor Loft and a few other stores. And bought myself a summer dress at Francesca's. It's a long, flowy dress which are usually too long for me being only 5'2 but this one looks to be the perfect length. Hoping it fits b/c I didn't try it on!! Will do that later today :)

Welcome :) I hope to use this blog to stay connected with friends and family and also make new friends along the way! This journey many of us are on as parents and mothers is a bit tricky to navigate at times but sharing it with others makes it a better learning experience. I would like to have some organization to my blog and not just a bunch of ramble but forgive me if it goes that route from time to time!!! I want to share my life as a mom and what helps me and my family whether it be money saving deals, cooking tips, gardening or family fun.

A little about me, I have 2 beautiful girls, ages 3 (almost 4) and 10 months. I have been married for 6 years to an awesome guy, who I met at age 13!! Long story-maybe one day I will post it. I work 2 days a week in banking and the rest of the time stay home with the girls!! It's such a blessing to be able to spend the time with them that I do, although I am not going to lie, it can be extremely challenging!! I would love it if every mom who wanted to was able to stay home. I hope that maybe I can help someone achieve that goal by sharing my experiences with you.
